Old Ben guiding Han.

Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of tricks and  nonsense .

Is that so Mr. Solo?  Well I disagree with you.  My evidence for thinking you are wrong is the following.  While you were searching for Luke on Hoth, your fancy little computer couldn't pick up any signs of life (R2 couldn't either to be fair). It wasn't until the force ghost of old Obi-Wan showed up that you were able to locate him.

Over here hot shot!
I've always interpreted this scene as Obi-Wan guiding Han to Luke.  I also saw this as Obi-Wan busting Han's balls for the comment he said to Luke and Ben on the Falcon (see the quote under the pic of Han).  Obi-wan has been know to be a ball buster now and again.  And lets not forget the tauntaun that becomes one with the force as soon as you come upon Luke.  I'm sure most of you believe the tauntaun froze to death, but if that were the case he wouldn't be too warm on the inside and that wouldn't have helped Luke (not that putting someone into a recently dead animal would help io9).  I believe Obi-Wan sacrificed the tauntaun in order to save Luke. Remember, Obi-Wan is more powerful than we can possible imagine now that he's one with the force and I believe this is an example of that.  Let's also not forget Obi-Wan has a habit of manipulating sentient beings.  I'm sure some of you have interpreted this differently from me, and that's the beauty of the holy saga.  Not all of us see things the same in the saga, and that's a good thing.  Although, maybe one of you could change my mind on how this scene played out.
I'd love to get a different perspective.  As always you can reach me via twitter @The_Jedi_Hermit. MTFBWY.
