The Jedi Hermit

Well, the clone wars is starting this Saturday and I thought I’d give my two credits on who will fall this season.  Now we have to look at the word fall.  Does that mean someone dies?  Or does it mean someone falls from the lightside/darkside?  I think it means a few characters are going to die this season.  We know from the CVI clip there seems to be a handful of Jedi that die.  Is Ashoka one of these Jedi?  I'm going to say no.  I imagine Dave is saving her fate for the series finale.  So, with Ashoka’s fate settled here, (not that I’m right) lets move on to the others on the season 5 promo picture.

First up is Pre Vizsla.  He’s served his purpose.  He started the death watch movement and plunged Mandalore into a civil war, and by the looks of the season 5 clip he’s going to get his ass handed to him by Darth Maul.  So, I’m putting him on the death list.  Pre, you should know better than to make a deal with the devil.  Next on the death list, sadly, is Hondo Ohnaka.  Now, I’ll be bummed out if this is true because he’s pretty cool and adds some fun and humor to the series.  I'm  also picking him for shock value and because he’s kind of a bad guy.  It’s the clone wars folks and sentient beings are going to die.  Doesn't matter if they are Jedi, Sith, Scoundrels, Innocent or otherwise.
Number three on my list is a popular bounty hunter named Embo.  I’ve picked him only because he seems to have messed with Padmé in the CVI clip.  Let's face it.  That isn’t going to sit well with Anakin, who by the way gets pissed off at some dude just having a conversation with Padmé at her apartment.  Can you imagine how pissed off he’ll be with someone trying to kill her?  Can't say I blame him, but that’s not the Jedi way.  I should also mention the scene with Anakin getting mad at another man talking to Padmé is again, from the CVI clip.

Now it’s time to move on to the most shocking deaths of season 5.  I’m probably going to be wrong on at least one of the three I’m about to name and it’s most likely this one.  Duchess Satine I’m sorry, but your peaceful ways are not going to save your ass from Pre and Maul.  I’m sure Obi does his best to save you though.  Again, this is more for shock value and to show that the republic is eroding away.  Also, the loss of Satine will just add more depth to Obi Wan when we see him at the end of ROTS and ANH.  Moving right along, the next person on my list is Savage Opress.  One of the two brothers has to go and lets face it, Maul is still more popular.  So, sorry Savage... your ass is gone.  Now I assume it’s going to be at the hands of Sidious, but I would love to see Maul kill his brother.  Not likely, but it would be cool. So, now it’s on to the death that will no doubt shock and sadden most of us.  Rex...I gave you a moment to soak that in.  He’s a clone and clones die.  He’s always in the thick of things and sooner or later that catches up with you.  There’s that shock value again.

So, that’s my list.  I know I didn’t go in depth about my reasons and some of them are vague at best, but I don't have much to go on other than the last 4 seasons and what I saw in CVI clip, plus I’m going with what the force tells me.  I’ll be lucky if I get one of these guesses is right.  It’s going to be fun revisiting this list throughout the season to see how I’m doing.  One last thing before I say goodbye.  I think the most intriguing thing in the season 5 promo picture is Sidious appears to be on Mustafar.  I guess we’ll find out why soon.  If you would like to disagree or agree with me (I'd be shocked if you did) you can reach me on my twitter feed @The_Jedi_Hermit.  Thanks for reading and MTFBWY.
